|Description:||KoW is a new concept for mass battle miniature wargaming – a game that is easy to learn and fast to play, yet will take time and experience to master. With few and simple rules, there is little to get in the way of the fun and slaughter. KoW is a challenging game of strategy, where you can pit your wits against your opponent without devoting half of your brainpower to remember a plethora of convoluted rules.|
And that’s not all, the innovative turn structure allows you to play KoW using a time-keeping tool (like a stopwatch or a chess clock) to time your moves. As the seconds tick away, the pressure and excitement this adds makes KoW unlike any other large-scale wargame you’ve ever played before.

New TerrainCrate 2 crate: Morneville Ruins
With TerrainCrate 2 we want to fund an even wider range of affordable, plastic and ready built scenery/terrain for a selection of tabletop games. With TerrainCrate 1 we ticked a huge amount of fantasy boxes and with this campaign we’re aiming to fill the gaps for other genres. So far, we’ve got gothic fantasy for RPGs, post-apocalyptic, modern skirmish, spooky woods, quaint villages, market squares… in fact, whatever your imagination allows! However, there was another genre that we felt needed that TerrainCrate love: historical wargaming. With this in mind, we teamed up with our friends over at Warlord Games to create a selection of pieces that are perfectly compatible with their 28mm tabletop World War II game, Bolt Action. We wanted to ensure wargamers had big, chunky scenery pieces they could quickly throw onto their battlefield, so they can get onto the serious business of rolling dice. Today, we’re delighted to introduce the much-rumoured fourth Crate: Morneville Ruins. Inspired by the pieces available in Bellevue Square, Morneville includes ruined versions of elements like the impressive statue and barricades using the café chairs/tables. It also has brand new items like the military checkpoint and church interior. All of these are big pieces that provide [...]

TerrainCrate 2 new pledge level: Pick ‘n’ Mix!
We’ve had a super start to the campaign and it’s been great to see so many people jumping on board the hype terrain for this second Kickstarter. We’ve already passed one stretch goal today and are well on the way to the second, which is fantastic. Something that’s come up since the campaign launched last Thursday was that people wanted to create their own pledges. A couple of sets from Bleakwood Hall, a set from Campbell Heights and something from Bellevue Square – that sort of thing We’re a very friendly bunch here at Mantic and, of course, we want to get as much wonderful terrain in your hands as possible. With that in mind, we’re pleased to announce a brand-new pledge level: Pick ‘n’ Mix. What is Pick ‘n’ Mix?  Pick ‘n’ Mix is a little like a standard pledge, BUT you get to choose the sets that are included in it. This means you can select 2 x Gothic Manor, 1 x Gloomy Wood and 1 x Bleakwood Mausoleum, for example. Or you can go all modern with 2 x Two Trees Mall and 2 x Crystal Peaks Campsite. You could go completely bonkers and get 16 market [...]

Using TerrainCrate in your Walking Dead games!
We’re only four days into the TerrainCrate 2 Kickstarter campaign and we’ve already unlocked a host of great plastic scenery pieces for RPGs, fantasy games, Cthulhu-esque exploration games, skirmish games and lots more. However, one of the great elements is how TerrainCrate 2 can be used in The Walking Dead: All Out War and Here’s Negan: The Board Game. As you can see in the graphic below, there are plenty of great pieces you could use as scatter, cover or objectives in All Out War and other modern skirmish games. We’ve just received some pre-production samples of the Survivor’s Stronghold set, so we’ve taken a few quick pictures to show how it can be used alongside the existing Walking Dead scenery booster. As you can see, it scales up perfectly alongside Rick and the crew. Plus, with the upcoming Walking Dead wargame on the horizon, it’s likely you’re going to need a little more scenery to cover your battlefield! But that’s not all, because the Survivor’s Stronghold set is great for Here’s Negan: The Board Game. Again, in the picture above you can see some pre-production samples being used alongside the standard Here’s Negan miniatures and tiles. If you’re a [...]
