6th Attack 40k Tournament - Road to Golden Ticket - Information and Rules

The tournament is part of the "Road to the Golden Tickets"!. By taking part in this tournament, you will acquire points for the Team Austria ranking (https://breakingheads.de/team-austria-ranking/), and so you will increase your chances to have a ticket for the Warhammer 40.000 world finals in November!

At the end of this season:
Placing 1 in Team Austria gets a Golden Ticket for the World Championship of Warhammer 2025.
Placing 1 to 8 will be invited at the end of the season to the Austrian finals. In the final will be given another two tickets, one for the winner and one for the second place!

1.) General information

2000 points
3 games, played with the most recent version of the Leviathan mission pack.

As the last time, we will use the tournament fee to buy terrain for the club.

For any questions about the tournament and so on, contact us - send an email to Attac40k@gmail.com or a whatsapp +43 670 6044769 (Fabian)

2.) Registration fee

15 €, which you can pay directly on the tournament day or at the following PayPal address: Attac40k@gmail.com

Your registration will be confirmed after you pay on PayPal and you send your list. After the list deadlines expires, no refunds for the registration fee are possible.

3.) Army lists

Please upload the lists to BCP (https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/5YHLT32YLF) until Thursday April 25 23:59. It is important for us as organizers to have the lists in time, so we can check them for mistakes and publish the pairings in advance.

Armies and Rules published until April 25 23:59 are valid.

The WTC FAQs will be used, can be found here: https://worldteamchampionship.com/wtc-rules/

4. ) Timetable

08:30 - 08:50 Registration
09:00 - 12:00 - 1. Game
12:00 - 12:45 - Lunch
12:45 - 15:45 - 2. Game
15:45 - 16:00 - Pause
16:00 - 19:00 - 3. Game

Time will be called out during the games a couple of times, players are advised to keep track of time themselves as well.

Chess clock:

If one of the players want to use a chess clock, both will need to use it. If one of the two players clocks out, he will be only allowed, until the end of the game:

- do saving throws
- Battleshock tests
- score Points for primary missions

Please keep in mind that our schedule does not permit extensions of game time. Playing with a chess clock avoids unfortunate situations. Like playing only three turns.

6.) Missions / Terrain:

We will use the TAC Map Pack (https://thealpinecup.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Kassel-GT-Alpine-Cup-2024-Terrain-Maps-v1.0-LowRes.pdf):

Ritual / chilling rain / crucible of battle
Vital Ground / Chilling Rain / Hammer & Anvil
Take & Hold / Chilling Rain/ Search & Destroy

7.) Scoring

Scoring follows the WTC GT Event Pack. (https://worldteamchampionship.com/wtc-rules/)

A player will be awarded 10 points per game if his army is painted battle ready.

Add Battleready Points, Primary points and Secondary Points together to get a total VP. Then look up the Result in the WTC Matrix:

VP Difference Game Points
0-5 10: 10
6-10 11: 9
11-15 12: 8
16-20 13: 7
21-25 14: 6
26-30 15: 5
31-35 16: 4
36-40 17: 3
41-45 18: 2
46-50 19: 1
51+ 20: 0

After your game is finished, insert the result in Tourneykeeper. For Primary Points put 3 for a win, 1 for a draw (10:10), 0 for a loss. Secondary Points are the Game Points (i.e. 0 to 20).

8.) Conceding a game

If one player feels the need to concede a game, a check in with the tournament organizers is required. We will try to talk through any issues that might make one player want to concede. No situation should arise where players travel to a tournament and then lose the opportunity to play.

9.) WYSISWYG, Proxy Models

Alternative models must be approximately the same size as the original models and there should be no advantage gained in the game by using non GW models.
Every player must ensure that their opponent is aware of all wargear choices made, especially if they do not 100% match the models used at the tabletop.
