Story recap (and more) :
More than one head rolled in more than one intelligence agency when a small Nomad strike force had struck a coup de main against an illegal Yu Jing research facility. They won the race against many other teams by bringing the special project 奧德修斯 off the planet. Little did they know that this “project” would turn out to be alive and kicking and that it would draw a surprising amount of attention. A first hint that the Nomads might have stirred up something big was the translation of that Yujungyu codename: “Ulysses”!

Immediately Combined Army and human factions alike turned their attention towards the small strike force. Some more heads rolled when the Nomad team had to crashland in the streets of Edda on Concilium Prime. Bloodshed and destruction ensued and somehow of all things a joined rescue force of Haqqislam and Ariadna managed to emerge from the rubble with the Nomads’ former prize in hands. Project Ulysses was covertly taken to some research facility – propably on Bourak – and dust was allowed to settle for a while.

Some time has passed since then. Time enough for the decision makers in many factions to calculate their losses and harbour their grudge. Time enough for them to plan reactions and responses for the unlikely event that Project Ulysses should ever resurface. The moment that happened many plans would be set in motion by people determined to use their one last chance to win this deadly game.

Mechanical overview:

The players will be divided into faction-specific teams. There will be a strategic map shown before every tournament round. Each table will represent one territory on that map and the teams’ generals (aka: YOU!) get the chance to attack or defend one of them. There will be some mechanics at work to prevent matchups of veteran vs newbie but generally speaking the system allows you to challenge your favourite opponent, table or mission.

After each game the winner holds that territory and his team scores a point for that. Moreover, owning a certain territory will reward your whole team with a little benefit for the next game. (Those benefits will not disrupt the game too much but will be worth fighting for.) And that’s all. The missions played are 100% ITS 2019. For W3-veterans: No pesky civillians watching you this time. Fire at will!

At the end of the tournament you might score additional points in some ways. The team with the most points wins. (Duh...)

Missions:

Some territories are high tech zones and will host missions of button-pushing and antenna-hugging:
Acquisition – Power Pack – Transmission Matrix

Some are war zones and will host shooty missions:
Quadrant Control – Safe Area – The Armory

And some are plundering zones and will host missions of “grab whatever you can”:
Supplies – Looting and Sabotaging – Capture and Protect

It is entirely possible for the teams to plan ahead and task one of the commanders with perfecting shooty lists and another with button-pushy lists. But being flexible to what theaters of war are dictated to you by your enemies might prove useful.
