German Breach Brawl - Information and Rules

Turnier Regeln
50 Seelensteine mit aktuellem Gaining Grounds Regelwerk (Season Two oder Season Three)
Dead Man’s Hand verboten
5 Runden

Aktuelles & Offizielles Gaining Grounds Regelwerk
Aktuelles & Offizielles Grundregelwerk Malifaux

Zeitmanagement

GERMAN BREACH BRAWL
The tournament is the first installment of a series of tournaments we plan to hold in 2022. We currently plan to hold another tournament like to this one as well as a team tournament with teams of three players.
The top players of all events will qualify for the GERMAN BREACH CHAMPION 2022 tournament.

Tournament Rules
50 Soulstones, as per the most recent Gaining Grounds rules document (Season Two or Season Three).
Single Faction (must be declared during registration on Saturday morning).
Single Master (a maximum of one Master may be hired per game).
Dead Man’s Hand may not be used.
5 rounds will be played.

No painting requirement (if a player's crew is fully painted, the player receives +1 to his initiative flips during the game).
Alternative, converted and scratch-built models are allowed as long as the model is clearly recognizable (feel free to e-mail the tournament organizers to double-check). Official Malifaux models may not be used as proxies for other official Malifaux models.

The following rules documents are applicable in descending order of priority:
The latest official FAQ for Malifaux
The latest tournament rules of the Malifaux World Series (without entries relevant
to Vassal)
The latest official Gaining Grounds rules set
The latest official Malifaux 3rd Edition core rulebook

Time management
To promote fair play (time is a resource and both players are entitled to an equal amount of time to think and activate their models) and to simplify the organization of the tournament (time schedule), all games will be played with chess clocks. Each player has a total time of 90 minutes on their clock. If a player runs out of time, the player may no longer activate models and is limited to passive reactions (for example, but not limited to: opposed duels initiated by the other player; obligatory choices). He may no longer cheat or declare triggers. He can still score points for strategies and schemes if the conditions are met.
The clock is paused during the Start Phase (while players are shuffling their deck, deciding whether to use Soulstones to draw cards etc.). After initiative is determined and pass tokens have been calculated, the clock is unpaused and switched to the active player. We will provide more detailed information including examples on which players clock is active in certain situations (triggers, information requests etc.) before the tournament.

If both players' clocks run out before the end of round 5, or if both players agree to do so at an earlier point of the game (because the outcome is inevitable and one player is not able to prevent the other player from scoring), they may discuss how the game would have played out and if they are in agreement, they may add the respective VPs to their score totals.

Players may use either physical chess clocks or chess clock apps for mobile devices.
We are confident that the use of chess clocks will remove time wasting and ensure an atmosphere of fairness.
